No, every property owner will receive two keys, multiple property owners will receive a maximum of two keys. Property owners are responsible for the delegation of all key cards to proper parties.
Replacement keys are available at Town Hall, a processing fee of $5 for the 1st replacement and $15 for the second replacement will be accessed, within a three year period.
Proof of property ownership (deed/ utility bill), a valid driver’s license, and a re-entry application will be required for re-issuance.
New property owners may obtain two initial keys at Town Hall. Town Hall is located at 201 Community Center Drive between the hours of 8am-5pm; Monday – Friday. Request may be mailed to PO Box 2475 Attn: Stephanie Hobbs, Town Clerk Surf City, NC 28445; emailed to email@example.com; or faxed to 910-328-1746. The Town of Surf City issues keys to all property owners, property managers, and NC Stated licensed contractors within the island city limits of Surf City, NC. In the event of an emergency where areas of Surf City are evacuated, these keys serve to identify those who should be allowed into restricted areas at the appropriate time. Every three years Surf City Island property owners, property managers, and NC State licensed contractors are eligible to receive new keys at no cost.
