Isolated tornadoes will also be possible, closest to the coast. Remaining efforts to secure loose outdoor items and any other protective actions should be completed as soon as possible.
Mayor Batts has issued a State of Emergency which is effective starting at 5:00 PM today and will be in place until the storm passes and any potential damage can be assessed. Additional restrictions to the State of Emergency are not anticipated at this time. The Town of Surf City will continue to issue updates as information is received.
